Speaking of rock / rap stars, one Marti Pellow, former frontman of the group WetWetWet, or should that be DripDripDrip, has been on tv plugging some forthcoming album or other for the Christmas sales.
The reason I mention this is because after all the lighting work, camera angles and make-up for the tv ad, Pellow still looked emaciated and ill. The former junkie back to his old junkie ways and caught something nasty, I'll wager?
The reason, apparently, for his descent into junkiedom was "the pressure of fame". Yeah, right. Wee shame for the poor guy. Speak to people who are really ill!
Make him rob houses for his fix money, same as the other junkies instead of assualting the ears of anyone unfortunate enough to hear his wailing.
Don't buy his second-rate wares!

The good news: Japanese discover new species of whale!
The bad news: "... eight whales that were killed and collected by scientists in ocean waters around Indonesia and the Solomon Islands during the 1970s belong to a distinct species of whale."

Compulsory ID cards by back door
What gives? Compulsory ID cards. With Biometric data! Haven't we learned any Lessons from history? If the pendulum swings, is it the green ID card or the blue ID card who gets the privileges, or the food?

Do Not Call What a great idea! Law-enforceable anti-telemarketing moves! Brilliant.
Hopefully the idea will travel worldwide and silence all the calls which drag the unfortunate from the bath or interupt coitus.
If you live in the US, you can elect OUT of getting some sales pitch when you're trying to eat simply by registering with Do Not Call

My website is on the move in terms of Traffic Rank (according to Alexa) jumping a massive 650,000 points in the last 3 months. This takes it in at under the 2 million mark for the first time ... Now all I need is decent indexing from the search engines and stuff ...
