Lobbyists make me ill! They don't give a hoot about the causes they lobby for. They're just interested in padding their pockets. Whether or not an issue gets the proper attention it deserve depends on sheer numbers and how hard these guys lobby.
The fat cats have money to throw at them while us less lucritives fall be the way.
Yep, I would say he'd have a better chance if he'd turn against the mafia. At least the government provides mafia snitches with a witness protection program.
